It also includes Gatekeeper, a new security feature that helps you keep your Mac safe from malicious software by giving you more control over what apps are installed on your Mac.

I just did install on another system and everything worked just fine. The 10.7.5 update is recommended for all OS X Lion users and includes general operating system fixes that improve the stability, compatibility and security of your Mac. I've checked my environment and I don't see anything suspicious. build/lib.macosx-10.7-intel-2.7/scipy/fftpack/_fftpack.so is architecture: i386
#Can i update mac os x lion 10.7.5 upgrade#
build/lib.macosx-10.7-intel-2.7/scipy/cluster/_vq.so are: i386 x86_64 if your Mac is running OS X Lion 10.7.5 or later, you can upgrade directly to macOS Sierra. build/lib.macosx-10.7-intel-2.7/scipy/cluster/_hierarchy_wrap.so are: i386 x86_64Īrchitectures in the fat file. name *.so | xargs -I Īrchitectures in the fat file. The problem is that the files compiled with gfortran are compiled as i386 only. Most of the libraries created when scipy builds are universal files meaning that they support both i386 and x86_64. So I think that I've found the problem, I will follow-up on the scipy distribution list: I've tried every compiler flag I can think ofĪnd no mater what I do I get the same error. Therefore, telling me to update to a newer version of git kinda shows you didnt read or understand the question in the first. Is there any way I can tweak the SSL settings to make this work TO REITERATE: I am unable to run git higher than 1.8.4.2 because Im on a legacy OS X. For some reason it looks like the x86_64 version of the _ufuncs.so isn't being built. Im using Git version 1.8.4.2 since Im on a legacy version of OS X. I am using the latest version of numpy and scipy off of github. Answer: It strictly depends on the capabilities of your particular Mac model. Library/Python/2.7/site-packages/scipy/special/_ufuncs.so: mach-o, but wrong architecture ImportError: dlopen(/Library/Python/2.7/site-packages/scipy/special/_ufuncs.so, 2): no suitable image found. Every time I try to import scipy.stats I get the following error: In : import scipy.stats Answer (1 of 2): Mountain Lion was the last version of OS X that wasn’t free, but wonder if you can still buy it Really, there are two cases here. The NumPy installation went fine and the test ran as expected, however the scipy installation seems to be incomplete. I recently updated my system and attempted to install the latest versions of NumPy and SciPy. A preview of Mac OS X 10. I don't need FaceBook integrated with my OS, nor do I need new "features" that make my Mac act like a phone! I need an OS update that doesn't break my system and make me waste about 18 hours time over the past 2 weeks ( >3 of those hours working on the phone with Apple ).Despite the many stories that I've heard about people having problems installing numpy, scipy, and matplotlib on Mac OS X Lion, I've never had any problem until today. Mac OS X Lion (version 10.7) is the eighth major release of Mac OS X (now named macOS), Apples desktop and server operating system for Macintosh computers. I wish that who ever runs Mac OS software development would say "Hey, instead of taking the time to implement like 200 new "features" into another major release, we just took six months and actually worked to fix a bunch of bugs! SW QA at Apple is getting worse and worse. something we are sort of calling "10.7.5.1" or whatever. So instead of being forthright about this and saying "we really screwed up here", and calling 10.7.5 dead in the water, and releasing a point update to 10.7.6 (which is the RIGHT way to handle SW CM), instead we are copping out and releasing. (However if you called us and got a level-2 tech on the phone, they would admit to you off-the-record that Apple was aware of this problem). Effective with OS X 10.7 Lion, however, Apple abandoned Rosetta, so the older software no longer can be used.

However we didn't have the integrity to admit it even though there were tons of discussions about this all over the web and on our own discussion boards. With the switch to Intel processors & initial intro of OS X Apple provided an emulator called Rosetta which enabled software written for older Mac software to to be used on the newer combination. Well, we screwed up big time with the 10.7.5 update, and we have known about this for a few weeks. This is what this really means (from Apple).
